The FDA ballot on proposed changes to the Civil Service Compensation Scheme closed on Thursday 16 December. The result is:
The ballot turnout was 18.4% of those eligible to vote.
FDA General Secretary Jonathan Baume has written to the Minister for the Cabinet Office to notify him of the FDA's acceptance. Our expectation is that once the results of the ballots in the other unions that were recommending the deal are known, the Minister will indicate how he intends to proceed. The Superannuation Bill received Royal Assent on Thursday 16 December and this allows the Minister to implement the new arrangements.
We will update members with any further developments as they arise.
