FDA banner carried at Pride 2009

On Saturday 4 July the FDA's banner was carried at the London Pride parade, which started at Baker Street and ended at Trafalgar Square in the middle of the afternoon.

The march was followed by a rally involving speakers, stalls and stage performers. Soho was closed to traffic for a street party.

FDA Executive Committee member Rolland Zollner said: "There was a fantastic atmosphere with many marchers and even more spectators. We were told that a million people turned out for the Pride events in London.

"The FDA banner was very visible and it provoked many cries of 'That's my union' from the crowd."
