FDA learning and skills seminar - 23 May 2011

FDA general secretary Jonathan Baume and Rowena Kisely, deputy director, Civil Service Learning, will be the keynote speakers at the FDA learning and skills seminar taking place on Monday 23 May 2011 at the NUT, Hamilton House, Mabledon Place (near Euston Station). The day-long seminar starts at 10am and will review the skills project's work and launch its activity for the next year, which includes employer engagement and personal development initiatives. The seminar also provides an opportunity to network. Other speakers include representatives from the TUC, sector skills councils, universities and the voluntary sector.

FDA Learn project manager Neil Rider said: "We want the day to provide a unique opportunity to explore issues about learning and with high-level input from stakeholders. It will also provide support for staff in making informed decisions about their careers and development, which has a clear business benefit through the release of unrealised potential and in meeting diversity targets."

The seminar will also allow delegates to input into future FDA Learn activity.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided and the final agenda will be available nearer the day. Please contact Sean Ruddy at sean@fda.org.uk for more information about the event and/or to register.
