The pinnacle of the festival is Pride London on Saturday 4 July. A parade of floats and banners will travel from Baker Street to Trafalgar Square, where the main event begins with an eclectic mix of speakers, performers and stalls and continues throughout the afternoon and early evening. There will also be a street party and more festivities around Soho and Leicester Square.
Ro Marsh, FDA national officer with responsibility for equality and diversity, said: "The FDA has welcomed and supported these events for many years. Events such as these have gone a long way towards raising awareness of LGBT issues and the FDA particularly welcomes the fact that Pride London is a free event, so open to everyone. We support the Pride London aim 'to promote understanding and cooperation, as well as education in diversity, in order to get rid of the discrimination faced by LGBT people'."
The FDA has a banner to display at the parade. If you would like to help carry the banner, please contact Ro Marsh at ro@fda.org.uk.
