Managers sought for research on 30 November strike action

An FDA fast stream member, Eve Ewington, is conducting research on managerial trade unionism, with a specific emphasis on how civil service managers experienced the strike action on 30 November 2011. The study forms part of a Masters in Human Resource Management at Newcastle University.

Eve is seeking FDA members willing to be interviewed about their personal experiences of the recent industrial action, as well as some more general experiences surrounding their job role and their membership of the FDA. She is keen to talk to members of any grade, with management responsibility, in all locations/departments.

Interviews are sought with those who participated in the 30 November strike action, as well as those who chose not to take part. All data gathered in interviews will be anonymised and stored confidentially.

If you are interested in taking part in this research or would like more information, please contact Eve at e.ewington@newcastle.ac.uk by 4 July 2012.
