The FDA's dedicated recruitment month for 2009 launched on Monday 15 June and events are ongoing in workplaces across the country. The aim is for FDA branch representatives to recruit colleagues during this recruitment-focused period, to help raise the profile of the union and further strengthen each branch. Each rep who recruits a new member will be entered into a prize draw (one entry for each new member recruited) to win a £250 leisure voucher, for a range of hotel, dining and relaxing activities.
During recruitment month, on 16 June, legal trainees got together in south London to take part in a small wine tasting event. This FDA-branded evening was organised by some of the legal trainees themselves, and provided an opportunity to mix outside of their usual office environment.
Other activities are taking place during recruitment month - it's not too late to get involved . If you would like more information, or want to organise your own event, please contact FDA organiser Sacha Dutta at sacha@fda.org.uk.
