Civil Service Live - now in its fourth year - drew civil servants of all grades to London's Olympia exhibition centre for three days in early July, with the aim of providing inspiration and allowing delegates to share best practice. Civil servants heard cabinet secretary Sir Gus O'Donnell and minister for the Cabinet Office, Francis Maude, and attended seminars and workshops.
The FDA had a stand and recruited the most members yet from a Civil Service Live event. The union's organiser, Sacha Dutta, said: "Members of the FDA's Executive Committee and head-office staff met both members and non-members over the three days. Colleagues were very interested in talking about the pensions negotiations and many signed the 'Come on. It's time to get serious' postcards to send to their local MP."
Reports from some of the main sessions can be read here.
