A total of 28 female FDA members took part in a lunchtime training session on 13 April looking at Emotional Intelligence (EI). The training, held at HM Treasury, was organised by FDA Learn and the HMRC Senior Women's Network, and delivered by Association of Revenue and Customs (ARC) member - and former ARC president - Michelle Wyer. Delegates took away practical tips on how to ensure they are more aware of their own needs when they get to work and some tried and tested EI tools to influence colleagues and stakeholders.

Michelle Wyer said: "This was the first event of its kind and the response that I received was extremely positive. EI has it's detractors but, for me, the event was about starting a conversation about how we might best use it to serve our customers - and our colleagues - and deliver our business objectives".
