FDA Learn - the FDA's skills project - held a training session for the union's ULRs (union learning representatives) on Monday 25 July in central London, focusing on the best way of helping those who want to access higher education. Also attending were PCS members and representatives from the FDA's partners, Birkbeck College and Third Wave, a social enterprise based in the north-west of England.
Neil Rider, FDA Learn project manager, said: "Following members' responses from previous events, we will be looking at developing this into a full training product for ULRs.
"We need to strike a balance between informing union learning reps (ULRs) about the bigger skills picture across government and giving them the tools to give direct advice to members."
