The FDA launched its Equality and Diversity Plan for 2012-13 at a well attended reception held at the union's head office on Monday 17 September.
Roland Zollner, chair of the Equality and Diversity Committee, said: "We were delighted to see a good mix of union activists and HR professionals from across the civil service, as well as interested members. It was a good opportunity to share the FDA's plan and receive feedback, which provided fresh ideas and impetus."
The plan proposes a number of aims and objectives, taking into account motions at the FDA's 2012 Annual Delegate Conference held in May.
The plan can be accessed from the Equality and diversity page of the FDA website.
