FDA defends decision to launch Huawei leak inquiry

FDA General Secretary Dave Penman said the decision to launch a full inquiry into the Huawei leak was correct, despite Gavin Williamson's protestations.

“Gavin Williamson, unlike a civil servant who had been found to have briefed a journalist after a national security council meeting, still has a job," Penman said, "plus a £17,000 payoff and a seat on the privy council."
