ℹ How this calculator works
Each financial year you earn a pension 'slice' equal to your pensionable earnings × the accrual rate (2.32%). Each slice is then revalued every subsequent April by the September CPI rate from the previous year (floor: 0%). Your total pension is the sum of all revalued slices.
- Step 1 — Check or update the CPI rates below. Known ONS September CPI figures are pre-filled. Future rates default to 0% until published.
- Step 2 — Enter your pensionable earnings for each financial year in the calculator table.
- Step 3 — Results update instantly as you type.
This calculator covers alpha accrual from 1 April 2022 only. Pre-2022 legacy scheme entitlements (classic, classic plus, premium, nuvos) must be valued separately.
