The FDA organises career development conferences across the UK with events specialists Dods
We’re proud to host events in partnership with Dods
These events aim to unlock undiscovered talent and improve diversity at higher grades – helping to advance the breadth of knowledge, experience and people throughout the civil service. Held across the country and online, these conferences feature speeches, workshops and networking opportunities, designed to equip delegates with the tools they need to progress their careers. FDA members can attend these events for a significant discount. Some civil service employers are able to cover the cost of tickets from their learning and development budgets – so be sure to ask your line manager or HR department.

Women into Leadership awards
Now in their second year, the Women into Leadership awards recognise those who go above and beyond to champion diversity and empower women across the civil service. It’s your chance to highlight the trailblazers, the mentors and the wellbeing advocates who create opportunities for women to thrive in the workplace.
These awards feature several different categories, including Line Manager of the Year, Emerging Leader of the Year, and Woman of the Year.

Ethnic Minorities into Leadership awards
Building on ten years of Ethnic Minorites into Leadership events, these awards look to reward those individuals and organisations who have dedicated their time and skills to encouraging women to achieve their full potential within the civil service.
