
Insights into Public Service Leadership Half-Day Conference and Networking

The FDA invites NI civil servants and UK civil servants in NI to attend ‘Insights into Public Service Leadership’, an afternoon conference and networking opportunity to hear directly from senior leaders in public service across the UK and Ireland.
The FDA, as the only union representing civil servants across every part of the UK, is committed to providing opportunities for civil servants to hear from and network with senior leaders across jurisdictions to support you in your career development and progression.
This conference is perfect for those in leadership positions or aspiring to leadership positions in the civil service to hear directly from experienced leaders and their reflections on the challenges and the successes across a wide variety of areas.
The conference is open to NI civil servants and UK civil servants in NI, both members and non-members, and is free of charge.
Attendees will hear from experts on a range of topics related to public service leadership, including:
- Deputy Ambassador from Ireland to the UK, Orla McBreen.
- Former Chief of Staff to Welsh First Minister, Mark Drakeford and Special Adviser in Welsh Government, Jane Runeckles.
- Former Head of the NI Civil Service Sir David Sterling KCB.
- Director of Pivotal think tank and former Senior Civil Servant, Ann Watt.
- FDA General Secretary Dave Penman.
- Other key speakers to be announced.
