FDA celebrates Land Registry pay settlement
The FDA has secured a pay increase of at least 3% for its members in HM Land Registry.
The Cabinet Office has finally agreed a business case for 2019/20 for Land Registry staff following negotiations with the FDA, which results in a 5% increase to the pay pot. The deal will see all staff receive a minimum 3% pay increase, with higher increases for those at the lower end of pay ranges, some of whom will achieve over 6%.
In a ballot, 98.5% of FDA members backed the deal on a 76% turnout and should see the increase paid this month.
Helen Kenny, FDA National Officer for HM Land Registry said:
“I am very pleased that we have managed to bring these lengthy negotiations to a positive conclusion. This settlement, which the FDA branch has been crucial to securing, will see a significant increase to the Land Registry pay pot.
“Whilst of course not perfect, the deal represents a balanced outcome for staff with differing priorities and is a genuinely positive result for our members. It shows what can be achieved through collaborative working with our sister union PCS and with management.
“We have now entered another pay year, and current circumstances mean there is enormous uncertainty about pay across the public sector. The FDA will continue working constructively with management and our colleagues in PCS, to ensure a good deal for our members in the next pay round.
“We look forward to those negotiations commencing shortly.”
