Chancellor helps make case for a well-funded, well-staffed HMRC

“Over the past few months, our members have been publicly recognised for their professionalism and expertise in successfully developing and implementing brand new schemes, including the Job Retention Scheme used by many millions of workers,” said Loz Hutton, President of the Association of Revenue and Customs – FDA’s section for members in HMRC. “Our tax specialists and policy professionals continue to work tirelessly to develop these schemes and make changes to the VAT system and stamp duty tax, as well as implementing other measures announced today. HMRC professionals’ work enables the country to function, which at this time, is more visible than ever.
“The Chancellor himself has helped to make the case for why a well-funded and well-staffed HMRC is vital – to carry out his commitments, he needs to ensure that the necessary resources are in place.”
